Do photography and porn have to cross at a certain line? It startles me every time I see photos of scantily-clad men and women for the sake of art, beauty and fashion? Well, we can never blame them for that, since I think it's really their destiny (photography, art, beauty and fashion) to be deeply intertwined. How about moderation? Guess that's impossible. Though I'm really a fan of haute coutures and classic art. Bleed baby, yeah.
Human body as a raw material, though, has to be treated with utmost respect and owing to aesthetic regard, one should always consider the consumer or viewers' welfare. Did Terry Richardson think about it when he had his shoot for The Journal? Click.
This was just beyond photography and porn, this was trash at its purest and vilest form. T. Richardson has graced so many models in various designer labels and magazines with his witty, candid and provocative shots. But The Journal is inexplicable. Disturbing.
